This is a wonderfully simple combination of mock cables and lace with that bring a braided look to your socks. It would look great with tonals, gradients and handspun. Beads are optional and bring a little shimmer to the leg of the socks.

You’ll need a skein of sock yarn (between 275-375 yards, depending on the length you make) and your favorite sock needles (I prefer using the “Magic Loop” method of knitting socks). You also might like to have handy your favorite mug of coffee or tea, a bouquet of flowers, or even a happy song list playing in the background.

The sample was knit with Cauldron’s Path Yarns Silver in Hellebore Bloom and used 275 yards
