A good friend of mine asked me to design a pair of chihuahua mittens for her sister. No, her sister is not a chihuahua, but she does love those tiny little dogs so of course I made her a pair of soft and warm mittens - with chihuahuas on them!

I ended up liking them so much I decided to put the pattern here on Ravelry. In case there are any other lovers of tiny dogs out there.

Size: Width: 10 cm/4” Length: 26 cm/10.2” )
Gauge: 35 st x 35 rows = 4” after blocking to above size
Yarn: Filcolana Arwetta Classic in Lilac 278 (MC1), Red Clover 236 (MC 2) & Blue-green 191 (CC). Slightly more than half a skein of each of MC 1 & 2 and a small amount of CC.

I knit my mittens using the magic loop method, but DPNs works as well, if that is what you prefer.

Please make sure not to leave too long floats at the back of your work. I usually twist the yarn every 3 stitches.’

Oh, and if you publish pictures of your mittens on any social platforms it would be really cool if you used the hashtag #TinyDogsMittens. But only if you want to, of course.
