The Tiny Gems Baby Blanket is inspired by a dishcloth that I designed in 2020 to help teach my daughter-in-law how to knit. It uses the Seersucker or Padded Diamonds stitch that adds a beautiful texture. It’s framed on the inside with a stockinette panel and the outside is worked with garter stitch. It’s all worked in one piece, so the borders are worked at the same time as the body of the blanket.

This is available for free on my website, however the ad-free pdf includes a chart, row tracking checklist and gift tags for gifting. There is also a video tutorial and this pattern has been tested.

The larger needles and the King Cole Little Treasures DK yarn make for a lovely drape that is just oh-so-cuddly! It’s a generously sized blanket at 42” x 42” so that a little one can treasure it for years.

I was able to make the sample blanket using just under 4 skeins of the Little Treasures yarn. It can easily be resized by adding or subtracting in multiples of 4.

You are welcome to sell your makes made from this pattern. I just ask that you provide your own images, purchase the ad-free pdf and credit Handmade by Stacy J as the designer. Thank you!
