This fun little stocking is knit toe up, with a forethought heel. It’s just the right size to cuddle a gift card, chocolate bar or other small gift.

Techniques:
Turkish cast on
Knit 2 together and slip, slip knit decreases
Knit front and back increases
Kitchener stitch grafting
Optional crochet chain for hanging
Materials Needed:
Yarn:
Fingering weight superwash merino sock yarn, 44 yards / 40 m of MC and 22 yards / 20 m of CC.
Samples knit with Marianated Yarns Practicality 75/25 (75% superwash merino, 25% nylon)

Needles:
Size 1 US/ 2.25 mm 32” (81 cm) circular needles or size needed to achieve gauge

Notions:
Smooth waste yarn
Stitch marker to mark beginning of round
Tapestry needle
Crochet hook for hanging chain, optional

Measurements:
Gauge: 16 sts and 24 rounds equals 2”/ 5 cm in stockinette after light blocking.

Finished dimensions:
Circumference: 5.5” (14 cm)
Total length cuff to toe: 6” (15 cm)
