Titouan is a very simple sweater, perfect for beginners. It’s easy to make, but that doesn’t stop it from being stylish! Balloon sleeves, a rounded shaped body, and a boat neckline all make it a must-have! First, find the instructions to knit it flat, from the bottom up, followed by the instructions to knit it in the round, from the top down. Your choice! Be careful when printing the pattern to select only the pages for the chosen version.

16 – 16 – 16 – 20 – 20 – 20 – 24 – 24 – 24 skeins in total of Drops Kidsilk (4 strands of yarn held together).
Approximately for each yarn (4 lace yarns held together), or for one worsted yarn worked alone: 664 – 702 – 800 – 840 – 944 – 986 – 1096 – 1141 – 1186 meters/726 – 769 – 875 – 920 – 1033 – 1079 – 1199 – 1248 – 1297 yards.

Gauge: 15 stitches and 20 rows = 10 cm/4 inches in stockinette stitch worked flat or in the round on 6 mm/US 10 needles with 4 strands of yarn held together.

Chest circumference (fullest point): 100 – 110 – 120 – 130 – 140 – 150 – 160 – 170 – 180 cm/39 ¼ - 43 ¼ - 47 ¼ - 51 ¼ - 55 – 59 – 63 – 67 – 70 ¾ inches.

To be worn with 20 to 30 cm/7 ¾ to 11 ¾ inches of positive ease. To choose which size to fit, measure your chest circumference, add recommended or desired ease and knit the corresponding size in chest circumference (fullest point). (I wear size 3 with 32 cm / 12 ½ inches positive ease).

Titouan est un pull tout simple, parfait si l’on débute le tricot. Il reste accessible dans sa réalisation mais cela ne l’empêche pas d’avoir du style ! Manches ballon, corps forme boule et encolure bateau, tout est là pour en faire un indispensable ! A retrouver en premier les explications pour le tricoter à plat du bas vers le haut, puis en suivant les explications pour le tricoter en circulaire du haut vers le bas. Attention si l’on imprime le patron à sélectionner uniquement les pages de la version choisie.

Échantillon : réalisé en jersey endroit en aller-retour ou en circulaire, avec les 4 fils tenus ensemble et les aiguilles n°6 : 15 mailles x 20 rangs pour un carré de 10 x 10 cm.

Aisance positive recommandée : 20 à 30 cm selon le rendu souhaité. (Pour choisir quelle taille réaliser, mesurer son tour de poitrine, ajouter l’aisance recommandée et/ou souhaitée, cela donne le tour de poitrine du pull à tricoter). Je porte une taille 3 avec environ 32 cm d’aisance positive.
