A wonderful collaboration with Madelinetosh Yarn Company. This scarf came from a shawl that I had rattling around in my brain. When seeing a Facebook post from Madelinetosh looking to collaborate with designers, I reached out with the shawl design in mind. They were looking for designs that would require a maximum of 3 skeins of yarn, which the shawl required double that amount. Instead of just saying thank you, it’s not what we are looking for, the wonderful people at Madelinetosh asked if I had a different design I wanted to attempt. After listening to their suggestions, I saw the scarf taking form from elements of the shawl. I am very grateful Madelinetosh took a chance on a fledgling designer. I hope you enjoy To Go A Wandering scarf just as much as I do.

Measurements: 7.5 inches (19 cm) in width, 90 inches (230 cm) in length.

Yarn: 3 skeins of Madelinetosh Vintage Misfortune - 200 yards (183 meters) of worsted weight 100% superwash merino wool.

Needles: US 7 (4.5mm) straight or circular needles (your preference) or size needed to meet gauge.

Gauge: 28 stitches and 28 rows in stockinette equals 4x4 inch (10x10 centimeter) square.

Notions: yarn needle and 3 stitch markers.

Notes:
-There are two charts, one with ONLY right side rows and another with all rows charted.
-Stitch markers are used on each side of the edge of Mountain Peak pattern and on either side of the stitch that is knit/purl through the back loop.
-Sample used approximately 2.5 skeins. If you would like a longer scarf, you most likely will not need to purchase an additional skein. For a shorter scarf, you may not need the 3rd skein.
-There is a Row Counter/Tracker on pages 7 & 8.
