Toasted Coconut Slipover
Put three of my patterns into your cart and get the cheapest one free!
An easy-fitting, sleeveless layer with a relaxed funnel neck, deep armholes and small side vents.
SIZES
To fit 36 (40, 44) in / 91.5 (101.5, 112) cm chest
This oversized slipover echoes the relaxed shape and bold vertical texture of the reference garment. The front and back are identical rectangles, so there is no armhole or neckline shaping. A wide boat-style opening supports the soft, foldable funnel neck.
The pattern includes approximately 14 in / 35.5 cm of positive ease. Choose the size that matches your actual chest measurement for the intended oversized fit. For a neater fit, choose one size smaller if available
Yarn used
Cascade Yarns Pacific® Chunky — 60% acrylic, 40% superwash merino wool; 120 yd / 110 m per 100 g ball. Shade 166 Toasted Coconut.
8 (9, 10) balls, or approximately 960 (1,080, 1,200) yd / 880 (990, 1,100) m.
Quantities include a practical allowance; buying one extra ball is sensible if adding length or matching dye lots.
Needles & notions
7 mm (US 10½) straight or circular needle for the main fabric, or size needed to obtain tension.
6 mm (US 10) needles for hems and a 40 cm / 16 in circular needle for the collar.
Tapestry needle, stitch markers, waste yarn or locking markers, and blocking mats.
Gauge
12 sts and 18 rows = 4 in / 10 cm in Fisherman’s Rib on 7 mm needles.
