♡ ABOUT: Toasty is a cosy hand warmer, to be worn on a crisp frosty walk whether that is around your local fields with a pair of muddy wellies or for brunch with a leather jacket and your fav handmade jumper.

Toasty is made by joining a granny square panel in the round to form a cylinder. The cylinder is then lined with fluffy yarn before adding a faux fur to the trim to finish. It is a super simple and quick design. You can choose to add a handle so as to wear your hand cosy around your neck.

Fun fact, in the old days, hand cosies where called ‘muffs’ and ladies would hold a baked potato in their hand cosy so as to keep warm!

Toasty comes in one size and details on how to modify the size to your preference is included.

Both UK and US terminology is included with clear and detailed instructions.

This pattern has been tested.

♡ SKILL LEVEL: Advanced Beginner (As long as you can make a granny square you can make this pattern).

♡ SIZES: 1 + with instructions to modify to your preference.

♡ YARN:

  • Main colour for grannies and joining = DK in acrylic 80 g / 240 m / 263 y

  • Cosy lining = James C Brett Flutterby in Oatmeal (or similar yarn) 103g / 180 m / 197 y

  • Faux fur trim = Alpine Sirdar (optional) 10 g / 3 m / 3 y
