Adding a fun little twirl to an otherwise nice straightforward sock, this cable motif gives a little something to keep you interested while still allowing all those gorgeous yarn speckles and colours to shine through.

Help given for working cables. Previous experience in making socks may be useful.

1 x A Homespun House Soft Sock in ‘Warm and Toasty’
100g / 400 m (437 yards) 75% merino/25% nylon 4ply/fingering weight yarn

Or approximately 400 m of a 4ply/fingering/sock weight yarn in a wool/nylon blend.

2.5mm (USA - 1.5)
Or size needed to match gauge
Cable needle in 2.5mm or smaller

Yarn needle

Small: 17.5 cm (7”)
Medium: 20 cm (8”)
Large: 22.5 cm (9”)
