Filcolana Peruvian, 100% wool from Peru’s highlands, 100m/50g

Yarn:
Small: a total of 350 g, for the model shown I used 200 g in the colour 833 Limpopo (melange) and 150 g in the colour 815 Lavender Grey (melange)
Large: a total of 500 g, for the model shown I used 300 g in the color 355 Green Tea and 200 g in the color 221 Thyme.
(The blankets can also be knit in one color or several stripes if desired, however, please be mindful of the total amount of yarn required to be certain you have enough.)

Suggested needles:
Size US 8/5 mm (40”/100 cm circular needle recommended) or the needle size you need to achieve gauge.

Construction:
Tobias Blanket is a rectangular shaped blanket knit in garter stitch, from corner to corner with an I-cord edge and a section of stockinette to embroider on if desired. The blanket can be knit in one solid color, striped or in 2 colors.

Embroidery:
I designed these blankets for my first grandson, Tobias. To give them a special touch I chose to embroider “Tobias” and hearts in duplicate stitch on a section of stockinette. I´ve included diagrams for both models shown as well as blank graph paper so you can play around if you´d like to create your own design.
