Toby Baby Top
The Tobi Top was created for a beautiful baby, using a Japanese stitch pattern at the border, followed by stocking stitch with purl channels that come up from channels within the border creating a flow on effect.
Twisted rib brings together the border, the straps and across the top of the bodice. A three needle bind off is used to join the straps at the shoulder. This bind off creates less bulk and sits flat, allowing comfort for baby.
Knitted in lovely soft 8ply Bendigo Woollen Mills cotton. One of their 200g balls is more than enough, I used 80 grams for the smallest size.
Stitch gauge 22 sts over 10cm, 4”.
To fit baby 6 months to 2 years.
This design combines some relaxing knitting, and also some requires focus. A good balance for the knitter that creates a lovely garment for baby.
The Tobi Baby Top is suitable for male or female, and the colour used can give a very different appearance.
Enjoy creating for your loved one.
