Pattern also requires 5-6 5/8” buttons and stitch holders. Yardage for hat ranges from 80-135 yards. Sweater uses sizes 6 and 8 single point needles and hat uses size 8 double point needles. Crochet hook is optional for hat. This pattern is for a simple worsted weight cardigan and matching hat for a toddler/young child knitted in stockinette stitch with ribbing and garter stitch used for cuffs, hem, collar and button bands.
