Yarn weight & gauge:
These socks can be knit using a variety of yarn weights: worsted, sport, or fingering weight. Size is women’s medium when gauge is fairly tight: 7-8 stitches per inch for fingering yarn, 6-1/2 to 7 stitches per inch for sport weight, or 6 stitches per inch for worsted. Numbers are given for women’s large or men’s small/medium.

Needles:
Double-point needles: US size 2-5 for worsted & DK/sport; US size 0-2 for finer sock yarn
If using Magic Loop: 40” circular needle in size for yarn weight
