Thanks for the love which made it stand #2 on Ravelry’s Hot Right Now List on 25th May, 2022….my 24th pattern in the Top Ten! You may like to check out “Japanese Lace Sampler #3” which is my latest pattern, which has a 75% intro discount.
Knitting is not a pastime! It’s a way of life. It eases my soul, it’s music to my senses…..and when I need it most, it’s a light in the dark.
This pattern is written as a toe up sock, (knit in the round,) with heel flap and gusset instructions. I was sent 200gms of beautiful DK yarn from Scotland. After using up 112gms, I was left with 2 balls, 44gms each. I have used another Heel, which has great fit and is very strong, that you can use to make socks. I also used DK Merino from Ganga Acrowools for the Leg.
If you are a beginner, & have not made socks before you can calculate the number of stitches you require. To do so knit a swatch in the round and measure how many stitches you are getting per inch width ways. Then multiply the number of stitches per inch by the circumference of your leg in inches. I recommend using a solid colour yarn so that the pattern will be seen clearly.
I personally prefer using 2 fixed circs. Chiaogoo or bamboo needles will be the perfect choice!
May these socks bring major love vibes your way. May this cosmic climate bless your aura with a soft glow, giving you an opportunity to walk with glamour and grace! May today be the day that the sun shines extra bright on mountain tops, when daffys and snowdrops have extra butterflies near them, when fireflies glow with extra luminousity, and a walk in the woods enchant you with extra aromas of pine, cypress and junipers. May the elements of nature give you that little bit of extra, making this day extra special.
