Crochet overalls “Tom and Bekky” is a very detailed tutorial even for beginners. Using this PDF you’ll be able to make overalls for boys (with pocket or without, short or long pants, with variable texture of the front) and for girls (with variable length of pants and frills on stripes). Look at testers’ photos, you will be able to make all these variants with only 1 pattern.
Step-by-step instructions are written in 2 versions of English terms (UK and US) in 2 separate files for your convenience and are followed by VIDEOs* of mine, so even if you’re a bold beginner, this pattern is for you. One more advantage of this pattern is that it has no strict gauge. Though I give a list of appropriate yarns, you can use any (reasonable) according to your needs and purposes.

Materials:
Recommended yarns accordingly to size: 150/150/200/200/200/250 g
Crochet hook size 3.00 m or C/2 (US) or 12/11 (GB) or 5/0 (JPN) or any to obtain gauge
Removable stitch markers
Thread or tapestry needle to hide loose ends.
Scissors
Tailoring tape
2 buttons for girls and 6 for boys.

If you doubt whether to buy a pattern or not, try a free one for bonnet to see if you like the way I give instructions.

Construction:
All versions begin with pants in top-to-down direction. Short rows to lower front and gusset are included, lengths are variable – see corresponding steps. Then the front piece is made (also variable), after that the back. Stripes and decorative elements (depending on version of pattern in the end (last steps).
