Tomato Tee
Get ready for another tomato girl summer with the Tomato Tee!
The Tomato Tee is a knit top with a tomato design created using intarsia knitting and embroidery. The top is designed to be tight-fitting (~6” of negative ease) with lots of stretch.
The top is knit in the round beginning at the underbust using a provisional cast on, which allows you to easily customize the length of the top later on. It is then split into front and back panels and knit flat. The stitches are then picked back up from the provisional cast on, and the body section is knit in the round. Lastly, stitches are picked up at the armholes to make the sleeves, which are shaped with German short rows to create a baby tee-style look. The folded hems create a seamless, flat edge without any ribbing.
All proceeds from the first month of pattern sales will be donated to World Central Kitchen.
