TomaTOTE

TomaTOTE
A colorful crochet tomato tote made from modular squares.
TomaTOTE started with a tiny crochet tomato motif. First there was one square. Then another. And another. And, as often happens with granny squares, eventually came the inevitable question: what am I going to make with all these tomatoes?
The answer was this bag.
TomaTOTE is made from approximately 9–10 cm (3½–4”) crochet squares, each featuring a raised tomato motif in the center. The squares are joined together to create a roomy tote, finished with crocheted handles.
The design is easy to customize: keep all your squares alike, play with different background colors, use leftover yarn, or take the tomato motif and turn it into something completely different.
