This is a pattern for a light weight shawl. It’s heavier than a wedding ring shawl, but just the ideal weight for a spring or fall evening, or even if you’re sensitive to air conditioning in the summer. It knits up fairly quickly and would make the ideal gift, for yourself of someone that’s special to you.

The shawl is made up of a two Japanese stitches that are both charted and written out line by line. The lace focal stitch looks complicated, but it is easily learned making a perfect pattern for an intermediate knitter who loves to knit lace and enjoys mock cables, which are the fastest type of cables to knit.

There are also instructions for an optional edging contained within the pattern, should you want it edged.

Skill Level: Intermediate (assuming a basic knowledge of lace knitting). It is suitable for a beginner + with a some lace experience.

The yarn used in the sample is Biscotte’s MCN Sportweight Yarn in colorway:
Vert Biscotte.

The shawl was expertly test knitted Joy Macpherson who can contacted at: Joy.Macpherson@ gmail.com.
