About:
There is a small townland in Ireland, not far from where my mom grew up, called Tooreen. The Gaelic word tuairín means little paddock or little pasture. The little diamonds in the hat remind me of little paddocks—filled with sheep, of course.

This unisex hat, knit in two contrasting colors of worsted weight, is suitable for a confident beginner but engaging enough for a more advanced one. Whether you knit one for yourself or make several to gift, it’s surely a hat to brighten someone’s day.
