Top Down Toddler Cardigan
The sweater is constructed from the collar down using a 24” circular needle for the body and double points for the sleeves. It is constructed in one piece with no seams.
Buttonholes are down on both sides of the banding so that sewing on buttons is much easier as you don’t have to guess about placement. It also makes the sweater unisex so you can sew on buttons after determining the gender of the recipient.
I have also shown a picture of the sweater with a picot cast on for the collar and picot bind offs at cuffs and bottom of the sweater. Jazzes up the design for a little girl!
