Knitting (derived from the word ‘knot’) is the process of using two of more needles to create a fabric made of a series of loops. Loops and loops and more loops makes something wearable.

TOPMOST headband/ neck ‘kerchief – a very simple construction; start at one point and end at the other. Increase slowly and then decrease (start with one strand of 4ply, then double it to give the central section more robustness, then change back to one strand to finish-off). Topmost is a soothing easy knit; lovely to keep your ears warm or even to tie around your neck on chilly days. It is great for using-up scrap yarn – use your imagination and try different weights and colours.
