Just a short walk away from our home is the Torrens, the iconic river of Adelaide. We love to wander along it, watching birds splash in the water, and the beautiful trees come into bloom. This hat was inspired by such images. Leaf or ripple-like twisted stitch motifs transform into dotty pebble patterning, which looks gorgeous in a tweed yarn like Arranmore Light! The pattern is written to result in your choice of either a fitted or slouchy crown in each size, but suggestions are also provided on how to extend the brim length if desired.

The Torrens Hat has a matching mitts pattern! You can enjoy a special price of just $8 for both patterns if purchased together (discount applied automatically, no coupon code needed). Find the Torrens Mitts pattern here. Happy knitting!
