This pattern can be found in issue 6 of Laine Magazine.

This simple triangular shawl by Emily Wessel of Tin Can Knits is knitted from centre back down to lace edge. Tortoiseshell is designed to be large and ultra-cosy for maximum comfort, and the alpaca brings a delicious drape to the finished piece.

FINISHED MEASUREMENTS
Wingspan: Approx. 79” / 200 cm.
Centre back (spine): 32” / 81 cm.

MATERIALS
Yarn: 4 skeins of Alpaca Tweed by The Border Mill (100% British alpaca, 186 yds / 170 m – 100 g), colourway: Fudge.

Needles: US 7 / 4.5 mm 32” / 80 cm and 40” / 100 cm circular needles (you can change to longer needles when you have more sts on needles).

Notions: Stitch markers, a tapestry needle, blocking wires if desired.

GAUGE
15 sts x 22 rows to 4” / 10 cm on US 7 / 4.5 mm needles in lace stitch pattern, after blocking.
