If you love rainbows and vibrant colors, you are going to LOVE the new yarn from Crystal Palace, Mini Mochi, which inspired these wild socks. The colors remind me of a bustling Caribbean pirate port, full of all the wild colors of humanity. Out of these images, Tortuga socks were born. Based very loosely on the track of the turtle stitch pattern, these lightly lacy socks undulate in time with the colors of the yarn for a perfect match of stitch and stripe. The yarn is soft and fuzzy but not so fluffy as to obscure your stitch work. The lines of stitches give the impression of waves on the sea, or also of flowing ribbons. Knit in appropriate color(s), they would make excellent ribbon socks for the cause of your choice.
