Ever wanted a pair of fingerless mitts that would keep you warm but still allow you to operate your favorite touch screen device? I got sick of taking off my gloves to answer my phone, so I designed these. You can fold the fabric back for more finger wiggle room when it’s not that cold, then flip it over your fingers in a snap. When the phone rings, your fingers are at the ready.

I’m selling this pattern both as a stand alone and as part of a collection I wrote as pattern support for Three Waters Farm’s Superfluity Yarn Kit. The collection is called “Hat, Scarf, Cowl, Mitts and Flowers” and it includes simple patterns for all these items and you can knit all of them from one Superfluity Yarn Kit. The colorway I used for these beauties is “Olive Medley”. Three Waters Farm will be at Maryland Sheep and Wool on May 1, 2010 with loads of beautiful new Superfluity Kits in many new colorways and some favorites as well.

These mitts are knit with the alpaca/wool blend worsted weight yarn included with the kit, but you could knit it with any standard worsted yarn.
