This is a matching cowl for Track Star Hat. The main interest of this set is its reversibility. Holding two strands of contrasting yarn together creates a marled effect, which is broken up by a dramatic vertical stripe. This striping is achieved by splitting the usual cast on stitches into two colors for double knitting. The stripe starts at the very bottom of the cowl and goes through ribbing and body. The stripe stitches are then combined again before binding off.

This set is sporty with a strong retro vibe. The cowl can be worn in 2 ways. I have included different options for the stripe design.

Skill level: advanced beginner to intermediate; need to know cast on, double knitting, bind off.
