Rhythmic lines of texture run the length of this cosy scarf, finished off with fabulous tassels. The Trackwork Scarf is ideal for the new knitter who wants to get into the swing of knitting and purling or anyone who wants a generous scarf in a hurry.

The scarf is worked flat in one piece from end to end.

Meterage

424m (464yds) of bulky weight yarn

Yarn

4 balls of Fiddlesticks Grange 14. (40% wool / 40% acrylic / 20% alpaca. 106m/116yds per 100g ball). Sample is knit in colour 14013 Ocean. The pattern contains instructions for adapting to different weight yarns.

Gauge

18 stitches per 10cm in main pattern. NB gauge is not hugely important as fit doesn’t matter so much for a scarf. What you want is a gauge that’s reasonably loose so that your scarf drapes and feels soft.

Needles

One pair of straight needles or a 55cm circular needle in size needed to obtain gauge. Suggested Size: 6.5 mm (US 10½)

Finished Dimensions

The finished scarf is approximately 25cm wide x 225cm long.
