Pattern Details
Trailing Flowers is a triangular shawl using two color brioche with floral stitches trailing throughout the shawl using Dawn Barker’s Assigned Pooling technique. You will need yarn specifically dyed to be used for assigned pooling projects. The sample features an optional striped border.

Assigned Pooling
The Assigned Pooling technique was created by Dawn Barker of Barker Wool. Assigned Pooling occurs when a change in stitch and texture is assigned to changes in color within a skein of variegated yarn. In this case, simple Stockinette Stitch is assigned to the main color to create a backdrop for the daisy stitches assigned to the accent color.

Yarn requirements:

  • Main color: 2 skeins of sock/fingering weight - 393 yds/100gm (786 yds total)
  • Contrasting color: 1 skein sock/fingering weight - 393 yds/100gm
