Trailing Leaf Pant
Create the whimsical Trailing Leaf Pant for yourself with this 29 Page pattern! This pattern includes a mixture of written instructions, diagrams and photos. Please Note: This pattern cannot be made without reading and using crochet stitch diagrams. Detailed keys and instructions for how to use my diagrams are given.
The Trailing Leaf Pant features a leaf lace centre panel and mesh backing and can be made in THREE different styles: leggings, a flared pant, or a loose straight pant. The positioning of the leaf lace panel and rise of the waistband can also be altered to your liking! Using aran/worsted weight yarn, this pattern works up beautifully and quickly in any colour!
This pattern is entirely made to measure, meaning that it works perfectly for any body!
This pattern is designed so that you make your pant to match the narrowing of your own leg exactly, depending on the style you choose.
This means this pattern is made based on your own measurements, meaning that a measuring tape is essential, as is trying on your work as you go. A gauge is not given because you will be working to your own measurements and preferred fit.
MATERIALS NEEDED:
Yarn - Approx. 350-450g aran/worsted weight yarn in your choice of colour. Please note that you will likely use more of less yarn than this depending on your size.
Approx. 5-25g DK yarn in an accent colour (for the accents on the leaves of the waistband drawstring and the scalloped leaf tip edge on the flare and straight style pant).
Required hooks - 4, 4.5 and 5mm.
Notions - Yarn needle, locking stitch markers in a variety of colours and a flexible measuring tape.
