Trailing Vine
A flowing, textured design featuring a continuous vine with delicate leaves that travel the full length of the piece. The fabric is built entirely with increases and decreases (bobbles are optional) - no cables, no arans - making this a meditative knit with beautiful dimensional results.
Pattern Highlights:
Stitch motif: repeating vine with raised leaves, worked in columns
Chevron lace border at the edges
Techniques used: increases and decreases only (bobbles are optional)
Yarn: fingering weight, solid color with good stitch definition (e.g., Malabrigo Sock, Hedgehog Fibres Sock)
Needle size: 3.0 mm (US 2½)
Sizing. One repeat is 8.5-9cm wide. Length is up to you.
Scarf:2-3 pattern repeats wide
Wrap:3–5 pattern repeats wide
Skill level: must be comfortable reading both charts (lace) and written instructions (main pattern).
