A yellow Versace dress that I saw on an awards show is the inspiration for the Trajectory Shawl. The tightly pleated fabric that forms the bodice of the dress made me think of a shooting star. This shawl is my interpretation in knitting. It’s formed from three obtuse triangles, staggered such that the short sides of the triangles are aligned to form the lower edge of the shawl.

Gauge
Gauge is provided so you can achieve a similar-sized shawl to the ones shown here, and will have enough yarn to complete the project. This is important for this project, as there were only 11 grams of the gradient and 10 grams of the terminal color leftover from the test knits. If using the project yarn for the swatch, it is recommended that you use the end of the gradient that matches the terminal color for the swatch.
For the stitch count, the yarnover is considered part of the accompanying slipped stitch. The measurements are taken from a swatch of brioche rib after it has been blocked.
21 stitches = 4”
22 rows = 4”
