The Tranquility Cowl is a fun cowl pattern made with contrast colour stripes and lace detail specifically to use minis or left overs. The cowl is knit flat in garter and has no purl stitches in the entire pattern! But if the colourful cowl is not your choice you can make the cowl in only two colours and I knit two samples so that you can see what that looks like.

The cowl is knit with an I-cord as you go that wraps around the entire cowl so that when you are done knitting the cowl you only have to block and seam the cowl, no applied I-cord at the end.

The pattern includes video tutorials for all the techniques used in this pattern as well as a pattern exclusive tutorial to show you exactly how to seam the back of the cowl.

The pattern comes in 2 sizes: Size 1 has a neck circumference of 50 cm and size 2 has a neck circumference of 58 cm.

The pattern uses 3.5 & 4mm knitting needles and I used 13 cm tips with a 73 and 55cm cable.

The pattern uses 68 g (110 g) Sock Wool 75% Superwash Merino & 25% Nylon – 366 meters / 100g for the main colour.
For size one you will need 22 x 1,5 – 2,5g Sock Wool 75% Superwash Merino & 25% Nylon – 366 meters / 100g for contrast colours or 50g of one contrast colour.
For size 2 you will need 28 x 1,5 – 4g Sock Wool 75% Superwash Merino & 25% Nylon – 366 meters / 100g for contrast colours or 75g of one contrast colour.
