Transparent Gul
Transparent Gul is an original Bohus Stickning design which was first created around 1960. The charted instructions accessible through the Bohuslan Museum, may be used with the pattern information and schematics included on the card. Alternatively they can be used in conjuction with pattern instructions from Bohus Stickning på nytt The Revival if more detailed instructions are required. Patterns are available for several styles. These charts may be adapted for other garments. It is likely it was designed by Annika Malmstrom-Bladini for Bohus Stickning some time around 1960 as a related design “Transparent Rosa” was designed around this time. However, this design is NOT specifically referenced in Bohus Stickning på nytt The Revival.
Three original pattern cards were published by the Bohuslan Museum in their digital collection in 2025. These cards include pattern information on BOTH sides, so ensure that you obtain both to ensure you have as much information as possible.
The original pattern cards are linked below. Please note that the terms of the Bohuslan Museum’s licence applies to the use of its images and READ that licence before using their intellectual products.
The different cards have different numbers of colours ranging from 11 on the short krage chart to 19 on the cardigan design. The circular yoke design has 18 colours.
The majority (although not all) of these colours have been replicated by AngoraGarnet and may be available to purchase from them. However complete kits are not available as at 2026.
Please be mindful of the terms of the Museum’s licence and be considerate when using items from their collection.
