This is a great way to keep your books unbent if, like me, you’ve always got a novel in your bag. It’s so easy for covers to get bent and pages ripped – and that’s where this lovely knitted cover comes in.

This is a great pattern for those just starting out knitting lace, as it uses a very easy traditional lace stitch called faggot stitch to get the spaced-ribbing effect.
I knitted mine in the round on circular needles using the magic loop method, but I have included instructions on how to knit this flat, too.

I hope you like my pattern!
