This cardigan is worked from the top down, in one piece. The A-line shape allows it to drape comfortably over the hips for flowing lines and a flattering fit. Simple, narrow, cables down the back and at the sides, add interest and create elegant lines.

I originally designed and made this cardigan to wear on a trip to Italy. I wanted a cardigan that would be basic enough to wear almost every day with most of my travel clothes. I chose Berroco Ultra Alpaca in a beautiful turquoise mix color to add life to my travel wardrobe of mainly grey and black layers. It worked out great for me on the trip and it continues to be a go-to cardigan that I wear several times a week. I especially love it with skinny jeans or leggings, and longer flowing tops, but I also wear it with skirts and dresses. I wear it for casual wear and can also dress it up with a scarf or jewelry. It is simple, elegant, versatile, flattering, and extremely comfortable.

This pattern includes all measurements in metric as well as inches.
