Do you have a large selection of mini skeins and wonder what to do with them? If so, this project is for you! Designed to use two, 20g minis at a time, this knit is sure to showcase those bits and bobs we treasure. I designed this with the intention of creating a luscious garter stitch blanket with a slight element of slip stitches to keep you interested and longing for the next section. This classic design is elevated to the next level with a contrasting color to create a cohesive look. Best of all this blanket is totally customizable! Whether you have a baby blanket in mind, a king-sized throw, or maybe somewhere in between - this pattern won’t disappoint!

YARN
24 (x2) 48 total - 20g minis of 87 yards each
(960g/4,176 yards total) of Ruby & Roses Yarn OOAK Minis Collections - Main Color

SHOP KITS!

3x 100g skein of 437 yards
(300g/1,311yd total) of Ruby & Roses Yarn “Canna” Colorway - Contrast Color

You can also get creative and pull some skeins from your stash! For example, any combination of at least 2 colors will work. So this is a great opportunity to get creative!

OPTIONAL
Seamed Side Border

1 x 100g skein of 437 yards
(100g/437yd total) of Ruby & Roses Yarn
The border is an optional design feature that in my opinion adds a finished quality to the blanket!

CONSTRUCTION NOTES
This blanket will be knit using two strands of fingering weight held together. I recommend using two separate 20g minis simultaneously to get a good section of each color, rather than using a single mini pulling from both the center and outside of the cake. If you would like a symmetrical effect, I used a “Border Color” for the first cast on color and last bind off color, that took about 15g for each strand (30g total per side). I love the effect of it starting and finishing the blanket! Whereas my sample was quite large since I used so many different colors, if you used a total of 24 different color minis you’d end up with a 56” by 57” blanket! (24 x 2 - since that is not including both strands)
