Perfect for having a drink outside on a cool evening (or for a treasure hunt in the autumnal woods), these fingerless mitts hug your hands with twisted ribbing and keep your wrists warm. The textured panel was inspired by wood carvings and precious golden coins and gemstones.

Skills required: Knitting and purling in the round over a small circumference, working twisted stitches and right- and left-leaning increases, creating nupps with a contrasting colour (photo tutorial provided).
Both a chart and written instructions are included for the patterned panel on the back of the hand.

Notions: Stitch markers, a length of scrap yarn, darning needle.
The use of a crochet hook (same size as knitting needles) is recommended for creating the nupps.
