I put together this beginner washcloth series as a way for crochet beginners to practice the basics, but also come away with something valuable. It is also incredibly easy to resize, which is explained within the pattern.

By crocheting the Treble Pop Crochet Washcloth, you will be practicing the single and treble crochet. It will also put your pattern reading skills to the test with the zigzag striping.

The reason why I named this washcloth the treble pop is because of the way the stitches are worked. When you single crochet after a treble, it makes the treble stitch pop out like a mini bobble. If you love the look of bobble stitches, but you aren’t at that level yet, this is a great alternative!

For this pattern you will need any medium weight cotton yarn. I used Lily Sugar ‘n Cream in the color Cream. You will also need a 5mm crochet hook.
