This pattern is available at 50% off with coupon “TS Promo” until midnight CT June 24, 2022. Summer is a great time to get a head start on your fall knits!

The Tree Spirits toque pattern combines colour work with cables, creating a silhouette of roots, trunks and branches that appear like interconnected natural beings. Ideal for cooler fall days, the toque may be worn fitted or slightly slouchy as desired (pompom optional).

The toque is knit seamlessly from the brim to the crown, with cables articulated over a stranded reverse stocking stitch colour background. The pattern includes written instructions and an easy-to-follow colour-stitch chart.

Sizes - Adult S (M/L)
S - fitted, M/L - slightly slouchy
Toque circumference: 49.5 (50.8) cm / 19½ (20½) in
The toque is designed with negative ease of approx. 2.5-4 cm (1-1½ in). Sizing is controlled by knitting tension and needle size, as the patt rep is 28 sts. Size S omits 6 rounds for a snugger “cap” fit.

Models
Two sizes (with/without pompom):

M/L - Red Ochre
Both were knit using a 4½ mm (US 7) needle, but with different hand-knitting tension applied.
