Crafty Intentions CROCHET PATTERN Tree Sprite pattern (printable PDF-file / 112 pages)

Developed by Megan Lapp aka Crafty Intentions, this pattern is for a Tree Sprite! This pattern is written in U.S. terminology.

This pattern comes with instructions to make a Tree Sprite! This pattern includes instructions for a Limbs, Roots & Trunk (Legs & Body), Branches, and optional Foliage. This pattern features clear step by step instruction with a lot of row-by-row photos. The gauge is not crucial to the pattern as long as the stitches are tight enough to hold stuffing.

This pattern is a total of 112 pages containing a full set of written instructions with photographic illustrations, and there are video tutorials for particular steps and stitches available on my YouTube channel. This Pattern consists of ONE PDF File, and the last 27 pages include 24 pages of Text-Only, Printer-Friendly instructions and 3 pages of the EU Safety and Compliance Document, but I strongly recommend you still refer to the photographic illustrations throughout the pattern if you have any questions.

SIZE

A Tree Sprite from this pattern is approximately 34 inches from base to top of branches, 20.75 inches wide across the branches and approximately 8 inches deep from front to back of the body.

SUPPLIES:
Yarn, in worsted weight, all amounts are approximate: This pattern requires a range of approximately 450 yards of Tree/Bark color yarn to make one Tree Sprite, and it requires an optional approximately 360 yards of yarn to make optional foliage.
Limbs (Hands and Arms): 105 yds
Legs and Body: 205 yds
Branches: 140 yds
Foliage:
Base: 15 yds for each Base
Optional Dangly Bits: 15+ yds for each Base

G (4.0mm) Hook

20 mm Solid Black or 24 mm Colored Iris Safety Eyes Darning Needle

Fiberfill Pliers/Wire Cutters Duct Tape

Wire (Recommended wire is 2.5 or 3mm armature or bonsai wire)
You will need to add wire to get your Tree to stand. Err on the side of heavier wire; you will need the extra strength to hold the weight of the crochet work. The Tree Sprite requires a lot of wire (at least 65 feet/25 meters). Make sure you have plenty on hand before you start.
