Like most people, I have many fond memories of my childhood Christmas. Strands of garland pinned throughout the house, music playing in the background, and the smell of fresh baked treats to be enjoyed by all, are just a few.

The fondest memory of all was coming home to a brightly lit Christmas tree tucked in the corner of the livingroom. My father, Harold Ritchie, was in the forest industry as a Faller and every year he would go out into the woods to hand pick and chop down the family tree. Daddy died September 01, 2024 in my childhood home, a house he built himself along with his father, Don Ritchie, brother, Merle Ritchie, and favourite brother-in-law, Ken Elliot.

And although, I am deeply saddened by his passing, I do take comfort in knowing he is now with my Mom, Patricia Ritchie.

I designed this pattern in his honour.
