An autumn day in Wales was the inspiration for this pattern, with colourful leaves dropping to the forest floor.
I used Sirri 2-ply yarn to create the design, but you can substitute another yarn giving the same gauge (20 sts to 10 cm, on 6 mm needles, for the hat; and for warmth, 22 sts for the mittens on 5 mm needles) - maybe Snaeldan 3-ply or Navia trio, or a West Yorkshire Spinners aran-weight yarn.
Using Sirri, a skein of each of the colours will be sufficient to make both hat and mittens, with some left over.
One adult/teen size is given.
