Call me a minimalist, but I love the look of clean and well executed Stockinette Stitch. But sometimes knitting around and around can get boring. That is where this stitch pattern comes in! The Trellis Beanie uses simple with yarn in front slip stitches that creates an illusion that the yarn is weaving in and out of the stitches.

The superwash wool yarn is extremely durable and very easy to care for. The knit and rib pattern is simple enough for knitters that are venturing into more difficult in the round knitting while still being engaging enough for an experienced knitter. The knitter also has a choice of creating a snug fitting beanie or a beanie that slouches. No matter the type of beanie the knitter chooses to make, the garment will provide warmth and fold to fit easily in a coat pocket.
