Charted pattern with cast on of 160 stitches (or multiples of 8).
Gauge is listed in the pattern but not terribly important. Gauge should be looser in cabled section and might need to increase needle size.

I used a 400 yard skein of hand dyed yarn but ended up with almost half the skein left over. Plenty left to still knit something else.
