The Trellis Stitch Beanie is so much fun to work up! Each row of the trellis stitch pattern is a 6-peg repeat, so it looks a whole lot harder than it really is. The pattern includes two patterns: one where every row is written out, and one that incorporates the Trellis Stitch chart. You decide which type of pattern to use to knit this eye-catching beanie.

The beanie is knit on any 3/8” gauge round loom, like Knitting Board’s Flexee skinny loom links or the All N One loom. The adult large hat uses 84 pegs connected to make a circle loom. The adult medium hat uses 78 pegs.

The pattern also give you the option of two different bind offs. If you are using the Knitting Board Flexee Skinny loom, the pattern gives instructions for a bind off that decreases the crown of the hat and removes links. If you are using a different 3/8” gauge loom, the pattern gives instructions for my Modified Flat Drawstring Bind Off.

The Trellis Stitch Beanie uses approximately 200 yards of a worsted weight yarn and is suitable for a advanced beginner loom knitter who is ready to take on a new challenge. The sample was knit using Perfection by Kraemer Yarn, worsted weight 4, 70% acrylic 30% wool yarn in the Quartz colorway.
