I am retiring from knit design due to progressive arthritis. Although I will no longer provide pattern support to my patterns that are now free, my patterns are edited and most have been test knit.

Look and feel elegant in this very charming beret with a bit of whimsy! Très Charmante is knit in the round from the brim to the crown and is worked in Angelic, an Italian-milled light sport weight merino combined with angora for a soft halo. Yarn is held single on small needles for the rolled hem, then held double on larger needles for the body, creating a clean transition for fullness. The crown decreases are worked with decorative twisted stitches. A leaf band and rolled roses complete the look.

Primary gauge is with largest needles and yarn held double. The brim is worked with smallest needles:
34 sts/50 rnds=4”/10cm in St st with smallest needles, WITH YARN HELD SINGLE, before blocking

Approximately 345 yds/315 m of sport weight yarn in MC and 58 yds/53 m in CC
