All funds raised from the sales of my patterns will be donated to the International Red Cross to help the Ukraine!

ALL prices have been raised to $5.00 US, even patterns which normally I have offered for free, and will remain at that price point until Putin and his minions GTF out of Ukraine.

Please note that the cast on numbers, 160/200, is 160 stitches for the aran weight yarn (SWS) and the 200 stitches is for the worsted weight yarn (Yarntree House Rhythm).

This is a GREAT beginner Entrelac pattern because there are no side triangles to make… once you are done the base triangles, you will only be working rectangles.

It’s very easy to adapt this pattern for different weights of yarn. I’ve written the pattern for 2 different weights of yarn. Worsted weight (Yarn Treehouse Rhythm) and Aran weight. (Paton’s SWS)

Do try to cast on fairly loosely! I recommend a Cable cast on!
Happy Knitting!

Note:

Are you unsure if you have enough yarn? Maybe you want to make it smaller or bigger and do not want bother with the math? I have a second entrelac shawl available that is even simpler to knit. Venus Tips Up is the way to go should you have answered yes to any of those questions:-)

Errata:

Tier 2:

Cast off 7 stitches. Turn work so that the wrong side is facing you. (That leaves you with one stitch on the right hand needle.)

Should read:

Turn work so that the wrong side is facing you. Cast off 7 stitches. (That leaves you with one stitch on the right hand needle.)
