This Triangle Shell Shawl works up fast and is easy to adjust for different sizes. WEAR SEVERAL WAYS! Wear with the clip or button in front (as shown in photos); wear with clip or button on the side near the shoulder, or reverse and wrap around the neck for a cozy cowl.

Gauge: With L hook, 3 Shells = approximately 5.5 inches wide; 3 shell rows = approximately 2.5 inches high.

Stitches and Techniques used:
• ch = chain
• slst = slip stitch
• sc = single crochet
• dc = double crochet
• hdc = half double crochet
• Special Stitch: 3-dc cluster (instructions given)

Materials:
• About 1.5 Skeins (about 375 yards) Soft Medium #4 Weight Yarn for medium shawl (Lion Brand Heartland yarn used in photos, color 148 BADLANDS; 251 yards per skein). May need 2 full skeins (about 500 yards) if making a larger size.
• Size L/8mm Crochet Hook or size needed to obtain gauge, for shawl. Can use N/9mm for larger shall.
• Size F/3.75mm Crochet Hook for shawl button
• (1) 1-inch Button for center of flower, if making matching flower clip.
• (1) 40 mm spring barrette clip (about 1.5 inch), if making matching flower clip.
• (1) 1-inch to 1.25-inch plastic ring, if making shawl button (can be a jumbo stitch marker, curtain ring or other)
• (1) Small elastic hair band, approximately 1.375 inch circle, any color (matching yarn is nice, if possible)
• Optional: (1) 3/8 inch (.625 inch) decorative button for center of shawl button
