Over sized and very slouchy, this is the season’s statement cardigan coat. Worked on large needles in chunky wool it’s a quick knit with dramatic results.

Knitting Ability: Easy/Intermediate

Skills required: You will need to be able to work garter stitch and basic cables and rib stitches

You will need:
One pair each of 7mm (US 10 ¾) & 9mm (US13) straight needles
Cable needle, Tapestry needle for sewing up

Yarn approx.
1,540 1,650: 1,760metres ( 1,6801,800:1,920)yards of Chunky weight Wool

Materials
I used Rowan Purelife 100% British Sheep Breeds Chunky undyed in Shetland Morrit 955, but you could use any Chunky weight wool. 14 15:16 x 100g balls (approx. 110m/120yds per 100g).
Try Cascade ‘Eco’ Chunky, you’ll need approx. 3.5 4:4 skeins @250g per skein.
