Knit in a mock cable stitch pattern, this hat has the intricate detailed look of cables without all the fuss. Made with super bulky yarn The Trickster Hat is sure to keep you toasty through Fall and Winter!

The Trickster Hat is knit in the round using an eyelet mock cable rib stitch pattern for the body and a twisted rib for the headband. 16” circular needles are used until the decrease rounds when it is necessary to switch to DPNs or magic loop to maintain tension.

Skills required:
The Trickster Hat is a beginner-friendly pattern with some advanced beginner skills.
Skills required are: knit, purl, knit through the back loop, knit through the front and back, slipping stitches purlwise, passing slipped stitches over, Knit three together, knit two together, purl two together

Size:
Adult - One size fits all

Needles:
US size 10 (15mm) 16” circular needles (or longer for magic loop method). Or size needed to obtain gauge

Yarn:
Approx. 100 yds of super bulky yarn. Sample used 100 yds of Lion Brand Wool Ease Thick & Quick in Spice for the hat and large pom pom.
